Father Virgil Elizondo
Father Virgil Elizondo, is an internationally
renowned Theologian. He is the author of numerous books on Theology,
Popular Religiosity and Hispanic Spirituality. He has taught at
institutes of higher learning both in the United States and in
foreign countries. He is currently teaching at both the University
of Notre Dame and the Pastoral Institute of the Mexican American
Cultural. Fr Elizondo will offer practical insights into the role
of Hispanic Culture in the formation of today’s society
on both sides of the border.
The conference will provide a visit and dialogue
with residents of Casa de Migrantes on the Mexican side of the
border and stress the changing role of the mission of the Church
in today’s world.
This conference is a wonderful opportunity
to learn about the mission of the church according to the guidelines
of Vatican Council II and our obligation to the less fortunate
members of the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ.
